Project Scope & Approach

Located on the Cathays campus of Cardiff University, the ABACWS Building is a modern six-storey, purpose-built facility designed to facilitate collaboration between the Schools of Computer Science & Informatics and Mathematics.

SceptreNet’s role was to deliver the high-performance IT infrastructure enabling a new era of teaching, research and secure learning. Our approach included:

  • A detailed specification, aligning with the University’s design and build procurement route.
  • Collaboration with the building contractor to integrate data, voice and wireless systems into the new build.
  • Deployment of a wireless solution (71 Aruba access points) ensuring full campus-grade connectivity.
  • On-time delivery and installation to a standard that exceeded customer expectations.
